Houses or buildings without eavestroughs can encounter foundation and other problems due to water damage. Having a properly installed eavestrough helps prevent water damage to your house or building, and surrounding property.
Eavestroughs are available in copper or aluminum.
Colour samples are available from one of our installers during his visit. You can also view samples online on each of the manufacturer websites listed above.
The soffit is the material from the top of an exterior wall to the outer edge of the roof. It fills the gap between a home’s siding or wall and the roofline, or eavestrough. Soffits can be non-ventilated or ventilated for cooling attic space.
Benefits of soffit:
The horizontal “fascia board” which caps the end of rafters outside a building may be used to hold the eavestrough or rain gutter. It is typically made out of wood or sheet metal.
It is highly recommended to replace the fascia at the same time as your eavestroughs, to be certain that the wood has not been damaged.
We also offer the five (5) inch continuous eavestrough Alu-Rex leaf guard system. Your new eavestrough will be able to support up tp 250lb. per linear foot (373 kg per linear meter). That’s 50% stronger than eavestrough with hangers or spikes. Advantages of the continuous fastening system for new eavestroughs:
- Increases eavestrough strength and rigidity
- Will not bend under the weight of a ladder
- Can support the weight of three men
- Can support the weight of snow and ice from the roof
